NationalNEC Generates Shs27B in Dividends Through Private Ventures, Defence Minister Kiryowa Reveals
Appearing before Parliament’s Defence and Internal Affairs Committee for the first time in its 37-year history, Defence Minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka disclosed that the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) has leveraged strategic private-sector partnerships to generate over Shs27.6 billion in cumulative dividends, which have been directly plowed back into national defense and industrial infrastructure projects.
